Aftermarket lighting for your Ford truck
Your Ford pickup is an awesome contender when it comes to horsepower, torque and styling and you want to push it to its limits in every category. One thing that Ford's excellent lineup of trucks doesn't come standard with from the factory is lighting for extreme applications, work conditions or harsh environments. Luckily for both you and us here at Stage 3 Off-Road, RECON Lighting and Smittybilt pick up the slack. RECON provides an absolutely stunning array of lighting options for nearly any 1999 and up Ford truck, while Smittybilt manufactures some of the highest-quality light bars on the aftermarket that can mount nearly any high-powered baja light while being tough enough to stand up to the harshest trail, road or off-road conditions. Stage 3 Off-Road has several lighting packages that allow your truck to pierce the darkest nights, making the trail or job site as bright as day.
Most of our customers start out by replacing their factory lights with premium RECON headlights. Each headlight is designed with a dual light configuration for the high and low beams, respectively, and comes with the proper bulbs preinstalled. RECON's DOT approved headlights come with either smoked or clear lenses that can fit into your truck's styling theme, blend into your truck's paint color or match other exterior accessories and lights. These headlights comes standard with integrated LED strips and halos that surround the bulb housings that add modern styling considerations onto any of Ford's pickups. RECON's headlights are easy, direct drop-in replacements for the stock headlights and use the factory mounting points and hardware. Each individual lighting component within the headlamp has its own wiring, allowing you full customization in regards to the lights' function. The low beam bulb is mounted in a projector housing that can accept most aftermarket HID kits for even better lighting for off-road applications. HID lights cast extremely bright, clear light that gets focused into a razor sharp line by the projector housings of the headlights. Stage 3's HID kits come in several different colors from a yellowish 3000k to bright, white-blue 10000k temperatures. All HID kits are for off-road use only and are not meant for street-driven trucks.

After getting the headlights squared away, the majority of Stage 3 Off-Road's customers look into a set of taillights and often add in a matching third brake light to round out the package. All of RECON's tail and third brake lights are DOT approved and are completely street legal. RECON's taillights and third brake lights use LEDs instead of standard halogen bulbs. LEDs are brighter, use less power and last many times longer than factory halogen bulbs. RECON's lights come with either clear or smoked lenses to match the headlights or other exterior parts and styling accessories. Both the taillights and third brake lights are direct factory replacements and use the stock mounts and hardware. Another handy addition to the rear of your truck is RECON's tailgate LED bar that's both stylish and functional. The tailgate bar works as an extra brake light, reverse light and even as turn signals by wiring it into the tailgate and driver's side turn signal. This 60'' bar has 3mm LEDs down its length that are up to six times brighter than stock halogen taillight bulbs. The bar can be installed in only a few minutes for instant use.

Extreme truck applications require equally extreme lighting systems. Trucks that see heavy off-road or job site use may require one of RECON's many LED light bars to provide enough lighting to avoid trail hazards or get your outdoor projects finished in time. Each light bar uses two rows of heavy-duty LEDs and come in a variety of widths with either smoked or clear. RECON's light bars can be mounted nearly anywhere on your truck or into most aftermarket roof racks and bumper guards. The lights are wired into any point in your truck's electrical system using the included harnesses and other hardware. All of RECON's light bars are extremely durable and are built from the ground up to handle tough, off-road conditions in nearly every climate imaginable. The light bars cast bright, clear light over an extremely wide area and are designed to last at least 10,000 hours. If you're looking into more standard halogen flood lights, take a look at Stage 3's Smittybilt light bars that have provisions integrated into their designs for mounting high-powered, off-road flood lights. Smittybilt's light bars are built from 1.5'' diameter tubular steel and come standard with a black powder coat finish for ultimate strength and corrosion resistance.

Now that your Ford pickup can brighten up the entire road and trail, it's time to add more light into your truck's interior, bed and sides. Get more light into your cab with RECON's dome lights that replace the bland factory domes on nearly any Super Duty. RECON's LED dome lights are far brighter that stock and give off a blueish light for a more unique look. Most of us want to avoid juggling a flashlight while looking around in our bed and RECON solves that little problem with their LED bed lights that run underneath your bed rail and allow you to use tonneau covers, bed toppers and covers with no issues. Each kit contains two wiring cables with boxes of LEDs spaced at regular intervals that provide bright, even light across your entire bed. One of RECON's most popular kits with Super Duty owners is their Big Rig Courtesy Lights. These long strips of LEDs mount near your truck's rocker panels, run down the length of the cab and come in either Ice White or Amber colors. The Big Rig lights feature a huge array of wiring options that lets them function as running lights, turn signals and/or classic courtesy lights. RECON's Big Rig lights are street legal and are approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Big Rig lights, bed lights and dome lights are all easily installed using common hand tools in a matter of minutes.

All of the lighting upgrades for Ford's trucks are some the easiest, stylish and most visible upgrades you can possibly perform.
