RECON, the ultimate name is Super Duty lighting solutions has just released two headlight designs specifically built for 2011 and 2012 Ford SuperDuty trucks. These aggressive, DOT-approved headlights come standard with both LED strips on their lowest edge and two LED halos surrounding the bulb housings. Both sets of RECON headlights fit as direct replacements for the stock headlights while offering up to a 40% increase in both volume and clarity of your Super Duty's light output. Stage 3 Off-Road has two options of new RECON lights including a set with clear lenses for any of our customers simply looking to upgrade from the dull stock lamps and a version with menacing smoked lenses for anyone going for an aggressive ''black-out'' styling theme.
Both the clear and smoked variants of this 2011 and 2012 SuperDuty headlight system have projector lenses for the low beams that sharply focus these headlights' huge volumes of light into a laser-sharp light pattern that crisply illuminates the road or trail. The high beams use a standard reflector housing that spreads light across a huge area for maximum vision on the darkest rural highways. All of RECON's 2011 and 2012 Super Duty headlights include all of the proper bulbs including two 9006 bulbs for the low beams and H1 bulbs for the high beams. These headlights come with stylish chrome housings that give the version with clear lenses a brilliant a shine, even when the truck's turned off. RECON's headlights with smoked lenses fit in perfectly with their smoked taillights, smoked third brake light and even RECON's smoked mirror signal lights and turn your truck into one of the scariest pickups on the road.
The clear and smoked versions of RECON's 2011 and 2012 SuperDuty headlights are able to mount many aftermarket HID kits for even better lighting in the darkest off-road conditions. Most 9006 HID bulbs will fit within the projector housing and provide clean, brilliant lighting in a whole array of colors that range from yellow 3000k to amazing 10000k, fully blue color temperatures. Most of Stage 3 Off-Road's customers stick with middle-of-the-road 5700k to 8000k HID lights that create sharp, white-colored light that makes the path in front of you crystal clear and keeps you safe. Aftermarket HID kits may not be street-legal in your area. Check your local guidelines or contact Stage 3 for more information. Stage 3 Off-Road strongly recommends only using HID systems in low beam projector headlamps in order to minimize light scattering and allow for proper aiming.
RECON's 2011 and 2012 Super Duty headlights are extremely easy to install an reuse much of the stock hardware and mounts for an easy, direct replacement. The dual LED halos and single LED strips are usually wired into the parking lights to keep them on even when the lamps themselves are off for a unique look during the day and evening, but can also be wired in almost limitless ways. Some of our customer have tied the LED systems into the turn signals for an even more original appearance. 2011 and 2012 SuperDuty owners may need to have their Daylight Running Lights (DRLs) disabled at their Ford Dealership or other reputable shop for RECON's lights to properly function and to show off their LEDs.
